Home to around 13,000 residents, Solana Beach is an outstanding beach community located less than 30 minutes north of downtown San Diego. It is bordered to the north by Encinitas and the 'Cardiff-by-the-Sea' community, to the east by Rancho Santa Fe, to the south by Del Mar and North City, and to the west by of course the Pacific Ocean.
With a beautiful coastline, nice chill vibes, tons of cool local amenities, and a rich artists community here, Solana Beach has a lot going for it. According to niche.com, Solana Beach is rated the #1 Best Suburb to Live In overall, the #1 Best Suburb for Young Professionals, and the #2 Best Suburb to Raise a Family in the San Diego Area. It's also rated #4 Suburb with Best Public Schools in all of California and #21 in America.
Speaking of schools, Solana Beach is served by the San Dieguito Union High School District and the Solana Beach Elementary School District, both of which get an A+*. In fact, the San Dieguito Union High School District is ranked the 51st Best School District in America* and #1 in the San Diego Area*. All 3 high schools serving the city are rated an A+ - San Dieguito High Academy, Canyon Crest Academy, and Torrey Pins High School. The Earl Warren Middle School also gets an A+*. Both the Solana Vista and Skyline Elementary Schools are rated an A*.
