A proper beach neighborhood in San Diego, the surfing is great, the housing stock is great, and there are tons of walkable spots to eat, drink, shop, and socialize!

Pacific Beach Vibes


Home to just over 48,000 residents, Pacific Beach is a proper beach neighborhood located about 15 minutes north of downtown San Diego and the airport. It is bordered by the La Jolla neighborhood to the north, I-5 and the Clairemont neighborhood to the east, the Mission Bay and Mission Beach neighborhoods to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west.


According to niche.com, Pacific Beach is rated the #3 Best Neighborhood for Young Professionals in San Diego. The neighborhood is served by the San Diego Unified School District, which is rated an A-*. La Jolla and Mission Bay High Schools serve the neighborhood and are rate and A+ and A- respectively. Pacific Beach is served by two middle schools and five elementary schools - all are rated an A or A-*.


Home Price Statistics


The median sale price in Pacific Beach is around $1.1m - a bit higher than the San Diego median of around $850k. Currently on the Market for single-family homes, prices range from around $1.29m on the low end, and upwards of $3.8m on the high end. In regard to condos/townhomes, currently on the market prices range from around $420k on the low end, and upwards of $1.8m on the higher end. Most residents of Pacific Beach are renters, with only about 33% of residents owning their home.
